Went to this restaurant based on the strong recommendations in TripAdvisor and we were glad that we did. It's right off the main tourist street (Hauptstrasse) in Heidelberg, down a small side street toward the river. You can see its sign from the main street. It's a small place with a few large tables that can hold many different groups.
The food was excellent, large portions and very tasty. They specialize in traditional German dishes. We would strongly recommend this over the more touristy spots on the Hauptstrasse (hopt-straw-SAY).
Very special place for romantic travelers.all the rooms are like a suite...very spacious with romantic Laura Ashley furniture. The restaurant & breakfast are excellant but quite expensive. The service was very good with personalize style. This small gem is the place that we stay again if we comeback. We need more than 20 minutes to walk for the town center but the route along the river was spectacular.
